Hopper Fed Fully Automatic
Double Miter Saw
|
|
|
| |
Description
The
fully Automatic CNC Double Miter Saw combines a virtually maintenance
free mechanical design with automated self feeding for unlimited
lengths of wood mouldings, PVC/plastics and aluminum extrusions.
Computer,
numerically controlled digital electronics with precision linear
bearing slide and
positive material clamps assuresrepetitively
accurate cuts to +-.005" with material feed rates u to 48 inches
per second. |
|
|
| |
The user friendly program prompts the operator for required job
data entry. Automatically computes for outside "tip-to-tip"
or inside "rabbet" sizing in either inches or millimeters.
The saw can cut up to five sizes simultaneously for maximum optimization
or interfaced with optional optimizing job entry software. During
operation, the saw continuously monitors the operating functions
with automatic diagnostics and problem analysis with solutions.
The
machine is designed for totally automatic operation with the operator
only required for material loading and initial job data entry. One
operator can easily simultaneously operate five or more machines
with optional hopper feed.
Safe
and clean to operate, the machine is equipped with high efficiency
sawdust exhaust ducts, low operating noise and when mitering aluminum.,
is available with the "PROTEX" Metered pulse type sawblade
lubrication system.

slide unit.
Positive material clamping at all stages of the
feeding and cutting cycle, utilizing both vertical and
horizontal clamps.
Virtually maintenance free mechanical components.
No special operator skills required.
High speed material feed rate up to 48" per
second.
Available for left hand or right hand feed.
Simple modular design with easy to change components.
Cuts from 4" {101mm} to 55" {1397mm} long
parts standard.
Machine is equipped with a red/green alert light
to indicate "out of material" or "job complete".
Large easy to read LCD display.
Automatically counts up and stops at preset quantity.
Completely cuts a length to the end and then stops
and signals the operator to reload the machine
or hopper.

Operating Program Features
Program allows selection of cutting one size at
a time or different sizes simultaneously, in a alternating
or sequential fashion. This feature provides a high degree of downstream
frame assembly efficiency.
When feeding random material lengths, the program
detects the end of the material length
and cuts the remaining piece to the nearest
usable predetermined size.
Optional expanded memory to allow preloading of
up to 1200 set characteristics by part number.
for example; an 8" x 10 " frame of and oak 1 1/2"
wide moulding is considered one set. This
feature allows faster more accurate data entry for repeat product
runs.
To obtain the best cutting yield, the program automatically
prompts the operator with optimum material
lengths and sizes during data entry, when known material lengths
are used.
The machine can be shut down at the end of the day
in the middle of a run and will remember at
the start up the next day to prompt the operator to determine if
the run is to be complete or abandoned.

Data Entry
1. Menu driven data entry through 30 key, full travel keypad.
2. Select "tip to tip" or "rabbet"
sizing.
3. Select fixed length {for optimization} or random length
material.
4. Select the number of different sizes to be cut {a maximum
of five can be selected} for example, 8"
x 10" and 5" x 7".
5. Enter sizes of parts desired.
6. Enter quantity of parts of each size desired.
7. Select alternating or sequential cuts.
8. The screen stays active for the entire cutting cycle.
9. Displays the number of completed parts as well as how
many are left to go.
0. High visibility red light indicates when a new piece
of material is required or when the current job
is completed.
11.Can be paused in the middle of a job or exited completely. |

Production - Economics
One
operator can feed five or more machines simultaneously when using
long lengths of material or the optional
hopper feed.
The machine produces at a known rate
continuously.
Powered belt type take away conveyor
removes finished parts from the machine to further eliminate
operator handling.
Computes leftover material {waste}
during data entry for easy material optimization. Helps produce
the greatest possible yield.
Only cuts the number of parts required,
no more, no less
Can cut up to five different sizes
simultaneously for the most efficiency in downstream frame assembly.
RS232 Communications interface allows
for interfacing and communication with optimizing and
job entry software.
Helps to eliminate costly mistakes
that cause waste due to incorrectly cut lengths, or too much
scrap waste.
Less downtime due to high quality
no maintenance machine components.
Adjustable sawblade strike keeps
saw cycle to a minimum for increased production.
Simultaneously cuts a left and a
right miter with each cycle of the machine. to produce one finished
part per saw cutting cycle.
Available with optional fully automatic
magazine feed.
Includes air line filter, regulator,
and lubricator.

Construction
Large diameter, precision made cross roller sawhead
pivot bearings allow precise and consistent
sawhead movement which provides a smooth, mill like finish to the
face of the miters if proper tooling is
utilized.
Precision made, job matched MITERMASTER carbide
tipped saw blades produce
consistently clean miters without tearout
or burrs.
Computer controlled non contact linear digital scale
provides repetitive length tolerances of +- 005".
The scale and read head are designed for maintenance free operation
even in a harsh environment.
|
|
| |
Diagnostics
The computer continuously monitors all operating
functions and when a failure occurs, it automatically
targets the problem.
When the problem is targeted the computer analyzes
and displays possible causes and solutions.
IBM XT keyboard and RS232 communications interface,
allows for on site or remote software modifications
or upgrades.
High visibility warning light flashes when an operational
problem is encountered.
Lighted switches and controls allow for easy visual
input & output confirmation in the event of
a part failure.

|
| |
Safety
Operator is only required for part loading and data
entry.
Fully automatic operation keeps operator away from
danger areas.
High efficiency sawdust exhaust systems and dust
collection systems are also available.
Scrap is directed to the rear of the machine, away
from the operator.
Emergency OFF switch with pull cable for hopper
feed.
Low operating noise through polyvee flat belt spindle
drive.
Complete sheet metal enclosures around mechanical
components.
Enclosed lockable cabinet houses all electrical
and computer equipment.
Built in pneumatic and electrical lock out devices,
prevent operation of machine during routine maintenance.
Automatic operation helps eliminate repetitive motion
injuries.
Available with optional state-of-the-art {environmentally
clean} sawblade lubrication system for cutting
aluminum.
